The project fights poverty hand in hand with the people of Toledo District and strives to secure that every child can grow up to his or her fullest potential. Village Action Groups carry out activities to create progress in life conditions for the children and their families. The project was launched in 2007 and is located in Toledo district that is known for having an indigenous population with more than 50% living in extreme poverty.

The project reaches out to 1,000 families and is led by a Project Leader and 5 Area Leaders. In 2018 the project expanded its operational area into the neighboring district, Stann Creek.
