The project aims to strengthen livelihood resilience of 30 villages in Southern Belize. It provides Disaster Risk Reduction interventions and promotes Climate Change Adaptation to enable the communities to better respond to the impacts of natural hazards, strengthen their resilience and improve the sustainability of the development process. The project also improves training curriculums for early warning systems; strengthen Village Emergency Committees; and conduct a nation-wide awareness campaign.
The project was launched in 2018 and has a 2-year lifespan and targets 180 farmers and their families directly and 8.000 people indirectly.
