The Vocational School in Bissorã was established by ADPP Guiné-Bissau in 1997 to train young people with technical and entrepreneurial skills, which are necessary to respond to the development challenges of the rural and urban areas of Guinea-Bissau. The school has it on the agenda to create new skill training possibilities for girls to increase their social and economical independence.

Since its establishment, the Vocational School in Bissorã has graduated a total of 1584 students in different vocational training professions. Over the years, the Vocational School has been providing courses in bricklaying, agriculture & animal husbandry, commerce & administration, solar energy technology, domestic electricity and plumbing & water pump repair. The school also reaches out to people in the surrounding community with services, actions, education, mobilization and cultural activities.
