Guinea Bissau is a country in West Africa that covers 36,125 square kilometres. Guinea-Bissau has a population of 1.6 million people, with 75% of the workforce belonging to the agriculture sector, which comprises 50% of the national GDP.  Country is divided into eight regions and one autonomous sector. Despite being a small country Guinea-Bissau has several ethnic groups which are very distinct from each other, with their own cultures and languages. 


Our partner: ADPP Guinea Bissau

ADPP Guinea Bissau is a national organization operating in the country since 1981 with interventions focused on rural areas, the most vulnerable and the most affected. ADPP Guinea Bissau currently has projects in the different regions of the country in the areas of Education, Health, Agriculture, Culture, Community Development, Reintegration of Voluntarily Returning Migrants, and Economic Development (sale of second-hand clothes).

ADPP Guinea Bissau has established permanent projects in Guinea-Bissau with a long-term commitment: the community development program called “Child Aid” involving the most vulnerable families; the Teacher Training Centre in Cacheu region; the Farmers’ Clubs program in Bissorã sector; and the Vocational Training School in Bissorã.
