The Vocational School aims at equipping young men and women with technical skills and knowledge as well as life skills for them to become productive youths and be able to secure employment or become self-reliant by starting up small- scale businesses, thereby alleviating poverty.
The Vocational School started its operation in Malawi in 1997 in Chiradzulu district and is registered and accredited by TEVET Authority under Ministry of Labour, Youth Sports and Manpower Development. The courses offered are: Carpentry & Joinery, Plumbing and WASH tech, Bricklaying, Textile & Fashion Designing, Welding and Fabrication, Certificate in Financial Accounting, Community Development, Beauty & Hairdressing, and Cobbler & Shoe Making. Over 8,500 young people have graduated from the various courses over the years and 80-85% secured employment.
